Vietnam is a complicated mix of culture, history, tradition, and scenic beauty. It’s a connector between Chinese culture and SE Asian culture, with a French colonial twist. It’s a country with a war-torn past and a Communist present, which may seem intimidating for a visitor, but is quickly forgotten once you’re actually there, enjoying warm hospitality and vibrant daily life.

Our Vietnam tour will take you from top to bottom and give you a survey of the many faces of this dynamic country. You’ll try street food, visit golden temples, float lanterns in Hanoi, and discover the many ways the Vietnamese drink coffee. From the peaceful waves on Ha Long Bay, to the chaotic streets of Saigon, Vietnam will delight and challenge you as you get to know a country that is understandably misunderstood.

I’ll be straight with you–I like to travel with positive, optimistic, fun-loving, flexible people who can roll with the punches. Travel can be a tough experience sometimes. Bad weather, strikes, and overcooked pasta are all hazards we face. If you get cranky when things aren’t perfect and will be upset about spotty wifi, I’m not your girl.

On the other hand, if you’re an easy-going type who doesn’t complain, can walk reasonably well, can manage luggage, and wants to see other cultures as they really are–warts and all– I think we are going to get along just fine. Bonus points if you like wine and having fun with a bunch of new friends. I promise to give you a rich, empowering, enlightening experience no matter where I take you. Girl Scout’s honor.

This was a most enjoyable trip although our group of women is very active and were more interested in hiking than eating. Andrew is quite the foodie, but we were not the type to sit through 9 course meals. The experts that took us on tours were knowledgeable and very helpful. I was blown away by the scenery and friendly people. The places we stayed were clean, comfortable and very interesting choices. I appreciated not staying in a chain hotel. The hosts were all accommodating and cordial. Great food presentation. We could have done without the Japanese cultural festival. Women in their 70's are really not interested in that stuff. Fortunately, we were able to stroll the seaside and had the best pizza at a local restaurant. Andrew knows the area and was most helpful with our large group of Type A women. I had a great time and thought the historical and cultural sites he picked out were very interesting. I certainly learned a lot about the area and its history.

I just got back from this wonderful trip and I wish I was still there! This is a trip I requested for myself and 6 of my favorite travel buddies. Nina, our guide built the itinerary with some of our requests and used her amazing expertise to flesh out a wonderful 7 day tour of Provence. I don't think I've enjoyed a tour more than this one! It was a wonderful balance of activities; cultural, historical and of course, gastrinomical! I understand this is on the schedule for next year. Do it! you won't be disappointed. I travel a lot and this trip is in my top 3 of all time!

I had a fabulous time on this tour. The places we visited were wonderful, and I enjoyed the wide variety of activities. Nina, our tour guide, was terrific. She was really knowledgeable about the history and places we visited. She was easy to talk with and very approachable. I thought each of our activities were unique and special. There was a good balance of walking, driving, sight-seeing and down-time. The hotels were really great, and all of the food & restaurants were amazing! Thank you!

I really enjoyed our trip with Andrew. He worked hard to add activities especially for us. The food and wine choices were amazing. A wonderful taste of Slovenia!!
