Adventures with Sarah is a small boutique tour company. Along with a group of colleagues, we’ve founded a company with tours designed by tour guides themselves. While Sarah’s specialty is Italy, our company aims to help American travelers to be bold and explore more of the world, which is why we offer tours of Morocco, India, Egypt, Jordan, Thailand and more.

This customized journey was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our entire family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Our goal was to expose our children, their spouses, and our grandchildren to a world beyond our own borders—and this tour fulfilled that vision perfectly. We hoped to inspire a love for travel and a curiosity about different cultures and lifestyles. Along the way, we embraced history, tasted new cuisines, heard unfamiliar languages, and ventured off the beaten path for unforgettable adventures. While we visited iconic tourist destinations, we also enjoyed moments of genuine local charm—relaxing on Italian beaches with residents, hiking through the Swiss Alps while savoring fondue, wandering a whimsical "monster" park, and exploring the ancient ruins and homes of Rome. Our tour manager adapted seamlessly to the extreme heat, adjusting our itinerary with early starts and shaded or underground activities to keep everyone comfortable. Accommodations were ideally located for walking and public transportation, and the included transit passes made navigating each city effortless.

This was the best group tour I have ever been on! The guides Ruth and Cristiano, locals from the area, worked hard to pick places and activities that showcased the best the area had to offer, while at the same time offering a wide range of activities to speak to the varying interests and abilities of the group. Always encouraging, facilitating connection, exposing us to things we would otherwise not know about, and going off the beaten path, I had a blast and loved travelling with such passionate and kind leaders! If you pick this tour and get a spot, count yourself lucky. I am keeping an eye out for any other venues for which they might curate a trip...sign me up! Love them! Grazie Mille!

The scenery was breathtaking. Our guides gave us a personal tour of the land they live in and love, incorporating the foods, of the area. We ate in a variety of settings, toured important businesses to the area's economy, churches and historical sites. We experienced various modes of transportation and stayed in lovely one of a kind hotels. As one of our traveling companions stated, this was a bucket list trip we didn't have on our bucket list.

This was a wonderful tour. Ruth and Christiano were wonderful guides and hosts. They treated us like family visiting from overseas. They took us to wonderful restaurants and gave us a peak into what life is like in this part of Italy. Some of my favorite things: the ebike tour to Bonnasola and Framura; the day on the boat cruising up the Ligurian coast; the meal at Gianni Franzi in Vernazza; the Carrara tour; and, the Lard Rock Cafe. All of the hotels were really special, with comfortable rooms and great breakfasts. I enjoyed the walking tour of Genoa but I had a hard time hearing the guide. I would appreciate a map showing the route of the walk we will be taking and perhaps a short talk about some of the places we will see before we set out. It would help me to orient myself in an unfamiliar place. Also, the food was very good but too much at one meal. I hate to waste food but I couldn't eat it all. Is it possible for restaurants to serve smaller portions at a multi- course meal? I would go on another tour with Ruth and Christiano and I would recommend this tour to others.

My wife and I had a great time . The tour guides were the best . We will definitely travel again with Adventures with Sarah . The tour was very organized and we loved how there was some flexibility if we needed it . There were awesome people on the tour group that made it that much more enjoyable.
